I’ve looked all over, the keys to the truck aren’t here.  Justin must have him.  Luckily he hasn’t moved on.  What is left of him is shuffling around across the street.

Justin is eating again, but it’s robotic. He spends a lot of time in the basement.

It’s a struggle to get out of bed…what’s the point?  I fee like no matter how much we fight it’s for naught. Either we’ll run out of supplies and starve or we’ll be overrun and infected.  I haven’t discussed this with Justin, I already know how he feels.

I don’t feel much like writing today guys.

Setbacks

Kari’s dad contacted the PI investigating the flight, his name is Randall Thompson.  It’s not cheap, we’re all chipping in what we can (in my case, more than I can) in hopes of getting SOME resolution. It seems that the quarentine story that was initially reported to families was accurate.  As best as Thompson has been able to tell an ambulance arrived from LAX at the California Hospital Medical Center (CHW) at 8:03 am PST. Kari’s flight would’ve landed around 7:30 am PST and according to google, the hospital is 22 minutes away. The timeline fits.

Calls to CHW have shown no progress in locating Kari.  Even with all this progress there have been setbacks. The last call they got from Thompson said that he was leaving LA because the riots were getting out of hand. The police were having a tough time keeping the crowds at bay.  Hopefully they’ll get their shit together soon.  With nothing else for anyone to do, I’m going to bed.

One of the family members got their hands on a flight roster and has been trying to contact anyone that was on the flight.  No one made it to their destination, that is to be expected.  She went one step further and hired a private investigator to find family members of the passengers, the families are getting different stories.

Some, like Kari’s family have been told that their loved ones were not on the plane (even though they appear on the passenger manifest).

Many Chinese families have been told that their loved ones were detained/jailed because they attempted to smuggle drugs and/or guns out of the country.

At least two families were told that the passengers were under medical quarantine due to infectious disease. This is significant because the familes that received the quarantine story were the first to question the airline about the delay. Both only about 1 hour after the flights delay was announced, before a cover story had been put in place.

I honestly hope this isn’t true, I would hate to think of her in a strange hospital, sick and alone.
